Breaking Generational Legacies of Being Broke and Miserable

Helping college financial educators empower students to move beyond paycheck-to-paycheck and toward money confidence—without shame, fear, or “shoulds.”

What Makes This Different
One of the challenges we all face in financial education is how easily it can come across as judgment, shame, or a long list of “shoulds.” And when that happens, it shuts people down instead of helping them move forward.

My goal has been to design content that feels different. Because I want people to be not only better with money, but also happier in their lives, I emphasize:

  • Balancing Today and Tomorrow — finding ways to enjoy life now while building for the future.
  • No “shoulds” — focusing on what people can do to create more of what they want.
  • Encouraging and practical — tools and strategies that feel doable instead of overwhelming.

Supporting College Financial Educators

Since Fall 2019, I’ve been building a financial education program on my campus — testing, refining, and learning how to best connect with and serve students and our campus community.

Now, I’m bringing together a community of College Financial Educators to support each other and share resources and strategies. Along the way, I’ll also share the workshops, tools, and approaches I’ve developed — so you can strengthen financial education on your campus with less stress and more impact.
