Are you a money messy?

Are you a spender, or maybe even, an avoider?

You’re not alone!

It’s not completely your fault. Most of us haven’t been taught how to do money. Then we go out and make mistakes and think that we’re the problem.

Imagine If we thought that riding in the car and observing other drivers was enough and no one taught you how to drive?

That’s how most of us learned how to handle money – by just watching others and without ever receiving any formal instruction. Some people had parents who were knowledgeable and comfortable teaching about money, but many of us didn’t. Some were even told that talking about money is bad, but if you can’t talk about it then how can you learn about it?

This is why I believe financial education is needed to break generational legacies, because if we don’t gain money know-how then we don’t have it for ourselves and we can’t pass it along to our kids.

You deserve better and so do they!

Hi I’m Ariel and I consider myself a recovering avoider. I started out wanting to be good with money – but somehow things didn’t work out that way.

I concluded that I just wasn’t good with money and that I wasn’t ‘the money type’ and I thought the only way I’d ever solve ‘the money problem’ was to make a LOT of money. So I was always chasing ways to make BIG money; I spent time, money and energy learning about online business opportunities and real estate investing and jumping from one hot idea to another – that never worked, now I understand why.

Fortunately, a few things shifted my thoughts and feelings around money. Now, I see how money can be empowering in our lives. That passion led me to becoming a financial educator.

Money can be a very emotional topic and those emotions can hold us back and trip us up. Then we feel bad or blame ourselves and that adds to the negative emotions around money. And then the cycle continues.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

While facing our emotions and our finances isn’t easy, not facing them makes the problem worse.

Money can be a confusing topic especially if you’re also dealing with fear or other strong emotions such as shame or regret.

Whether you feel that you’ll never be able to handle money or you’re facing a money mess that you don’t know how you’ll get out of, then I encourage you to get support so you can finally take charge of your money and start creating the life you’ve always wanted..
